fiberglass chopped strand mat is a non-woven e-or c-glassfiber mat product manufactured by spreading continuous filament rovings of 50mm in length randomly and uniformly in combination with polyester binder in powder form(or another binders in emulsion form). this product is characterized by its excellent resin impregnation, easy mouldability and low cost. it is especially suitable for the applications by hand lay-up frp mouldings such as various sheets an panels, boat hulls, bath tubs, cooling towers, etc. as well as mouldings by metal match-die pressing, frp corrugated sheets by continuous production line and sheet moulding compounds(smc).
